BIBLE STUDY LESSON
TITLE: GOD’S HELP
READING: PSALM 124:8 | MARK 9:23-24 | ROMANS 8:25-26
BONUS: PSALMS 54:1-5
In today’s lesson, we will study the help of God.
We all need help.
Some of us need physical help,
and some of us need spiritual help.
Some of us need a little help,
and some of us need a lot of help.
No matter where you are at,
we all need help is a fact.
We will focus on 3 things:
1: Where do we find help?
2: How do we ask for help?
3: How do we help other?
Our prayer scripture:
Hebrews 4:16
shows us that prayer
is the key to help,
but a key is worthless unless
we use it to unlock the right thing.
PSALM 124:8
Tells us that when we
call on His name,
He will save our names.
As much help as we need in the world,
we need more help in the spirit.
What can be done in the spirit
can’t be done in the flesh.
So, when we ask for help,
we must ask for it in prayer.
Because the discernment
of the Holy Spirit
will let us know
what we are asking for is helpful
and is it according to God’s plan?
MARK 9:23-24
Our faith is connected to our help.
The more we believe,
the more help we receive.
This is the benefit
of being a believer.
This is why we pray
when we ask for help.
Because God can send
a non-believer to
help a believer.
This is the power of our faith.
When we ask for help,
we don’t have to find the help.
Helping is more than jester.
Being helpful is unselfish.
The helper is more important
than the helpless.
Because the master
needs the maid and the slave.
ROMANS 8:25-26
As a believer,
we must become a helper.
God helps the helper.
So, when it is time
for you to be a helper,
you will have the strength,
knowledge and resources.
PSALM 54:1-5
It is important to be believers
because when we are overwhelmed
with the “Can I help you?”
we will have the energy
to ask, “Can you help me?”
As important as it is to help,
it is more important to know
when to ask for help.
We can always turn to God.
God is the ultimate helper,
because He always has a helper.
But not for himself, but for us.
As we go into a new week,
let us remember that
if we ask for help,
we must accept the help.
So, don’t question the help,
just thank God for the help.
Amen #GloryToGod
