JUDGEMENT

BIBLE STUDY LESSON

TITLE: JUDGEMENT
READING: 2 CORINTHIANS 5:9-10 | PSALMS 119:66-67 | MATTHEW 5:21
BONUS: 1 PETER 4:17

In this reading we will study Judgement.

“Only God Can Judge Me”
Is one of the most popular sayings
in the world today.

It can be a firm stand
or an exit plan.

On one hand,
if we understand that
only God can judge us
we won’t be moved when
the world judges us.

On the other hand,
we can use this statement
to cut up and not be subject to
the judgment of the world,
but are we really ready for
God to judge us?

If we are living for God,
He is the only one who we answer to.

But if God is calling us to Him,
we must not confuse
correction with judgement.

2 CORITHIANS 5:10
(#9) Tells us that
whether we are in front of God or not,
we still must walk God’s walk.
(#10) Tells us that we will all be judged
whether it was good or bad.

So when God sends someone to correct us,
sometimes it might be a harsh warning,
so we don’t receive harsh judgement from God.

PSALM 119:66-67
Shows us that God will send us good judgement.

When we judge, we must judge
according to God’s commandments.

MATTHEW 5:21
Warns us that bad judgement
leads to bad action.

In order to avoid bad judgement
when we judge we must use
grace and mercy with
the goal of peace.

+ BONUS:
1 PETER 4:17
Shows us that when high judgement comes,
we will be judged first as people of God,
so before we judge anyone,
we must first judge ourselves.

Daily reflection leads
to daily correction.
Drawing us closer to
God’s acceptance.

Wisdom, Discernment and Knowledge
are all spiritual gifts,
but they are also
the keys to good judgement.

So as we go into a new week,
let us not be focused on
being ready to judge,
but getting ready
to be judged, by God.
Amen. #GloryToGod
