SERVICE

BIBLE STUDY LESSON

TITLE: SERVICE
READING: ROMANS 12:1 | PROVERBS 17:2 | GALATIANS 5:13 | JOHN 12:26
BONUS: LUKE 17:10

In this reading we will study the power of Service.

When we are in Service for God,
we must have a servant heart.

ROMANS 12:1
Shows us that when we are called to Service,
we must have a “How can I help?” attitude.

There are 3 ways to Serve:
You can serve yourself, you can serve others,
or you can serve God,
which will help yourself and others.

PROVERBS 17:2
Shows us that even when
we serve ourselves
we can’t forget those
who helped us.

GALATIANS 5:13
Shows us what happens
when we service others.

Being selfish is unhealthy,
and we will stumble if
we are led by the flesh.

JOHN 12:26
Shows us what happens
when we service God.

When you serve man,
you become a ticket machine.
* NOW SERVING: 99 *

When you serve man,
you can offer an appetizer,
and they will want a full dinner.

But when we serve God,
you can just come for some water,
and leave with a buffet of faith.

There are 3 types of services:
Good service, Bad service + No service.

Good service is
serving what makes God proud.

Bad service is
serving anything that go against God.

No service is the worst,
because this is when
we are disconnected from God.

No Service = No Bond

The reason why we have No Service,
because we are not bonded with God.
The more we serve,
the more we build a bond with God.

+ BONUS:
LUKE 17:10
Shows us that Service Maintenance
is important and much needed.

Even a ticket machine will stop
giving tickets at some point.
Making people wait
until we call their name.

So as we go into a new week,
we must take time
to refill the machine,
instead of giving out tickets
that we don’t have.

When we are depleted,
we are unprofitable.
But good duty brings good reward.

To serve starts with the mind,
bringing service from the body,
creating a servant’s soul. Amen.
