BIBLE STUDY LESSON
TITLE: DAMAGED GOODS
READING: PROVERBS 3:5 | 1 CHRONICLES 29:18 | 1 CORINTHIANS 3:17
BONUS: PSALMS 23:3
In this reading we will study how to look at Damaged Goods.
During our attacks we will receive
some blemishes from our attacks.
But we are not devalued
because of a scratch.
When you think of damaged goods,
people instantly want to throw it away
or reduce the price of it but
does that means the goods aren’t good?
How do we become damaged goods?
PROVERBS 3:5
Shows us that not trusting God
will start to rip our packaging.
That’s why we don’t do
Self-Check-Out
(which is us judging and
punishing ourselves)
because we haven’t been trained
to determine rather
a damaged good is salvageable.
This applies to the damage in our lives.
Because we have a part of us
that is damaged in our lives,
sometimes we feel like Damaged Goods
but that is a lie
we just have damaged packaging.
1 CHRONICLES 29:18
Shows us when we fix our hearts on God,
we can scan things differently.
If the packing is damaged,
doesn’t mean the product is damaged?
It’s like a can of soup,
because the can is dented
doesn’t mean the soup is bad.
Because the label fell off
doesn’t mean it isn’t
chicken noodle soup.
But our sins
is like the careless stock boy,
or a lazy delivery driver;
the more they don’t care,
the more the packaging
will be damaged.
1 CORINTHIANS 3:17
Shows us that is we keep
damaging the packaging
(our Mind, Body + Soul)
we won’t be able to read the code.
(the instructions God has for you)
This is the problem with Self-Check-Out
if we can read the code,
how do we find the code?
We must go to God
for the code.
Our old life was an old code
that won’t scan anymore.
This is the difference between
Damaged Packaging and
Damaged Goods…
Some of us need repackaging
because God has a recall on our life.
BONUS:
PSALMS 23:3
Shows us that when God restores us
it is more than repackaging,
it is the remanufacturing of
or Mind, Body + Soul.
Turning damaged goods
into Goods for God. Amen
