HARVEST

BIBLE STUDY LESSON

TITLE: HARVEST
READING: MARK 4:26-29 | MATTHEW 9:37-38 | JOHN 4:35-38 | JEREMIAH 8:20
BONUS: HOSEA 10:12-13

In this reading we will study the power of the Harvest.

We are entering our Harvest season,
but we must be careful what we are harvesting.

What are you keeping in your storehouse?

There are 3 stages of the Harvest
that we will focus on today:
The Preparation | The Till | The Reaping

MARK 4:26-29
Shows us the preparation.
We must have a process for the Harvest,
because the Harvest has a process.

So, we must prep the seeds and the land:
* Preparing our minds for the seeds that will be planted.
* Preparing our bodies to house the Harvest.

We will start the prep,
but the Holy Spirit will finish.

MATTHEW 9:37-38
Shows us the till of the Harvest.

The Harvest will be plentiful
if we till the ground:
* Turning over the sins in our lives.
* Turning over the roots
connected to our sins.

God is tilling somethings in our lives right now,
because it won’t nurture the incoming Harvest.

Let’s look at 2 famous passages:
“A man should not live on bread alone”
“Faith without works is dead”

Showing us that when
God call us to the field,
He is call us to work
in His field.

JOHN 4:35-38
Shows us the power of Reaping the Harvest.

You must sow to reap,
because when you sow according to God,
you continue to reap from the Harvest.

This also show us that
the Harvest isn’t ready
until God says
the Harvest is ready.

JEREMIAH 8:20
Is a cautionary tale
warning us not to
miss the Harvest
God has for us.

During the Harvest season,
you don’t want to leave
anything in the field.

Because, once the Harvest is over
everything in the field will die off
to prepare for the next Harvest.

GOOD HARVEST VS BAD HARVEST

HOSEA 10:12
Shows us how to
Reap a Good Harvest.

HOSEA 10:13
Shows us the curse
of a Bad Harvest.

It all comes back to:
“You reap what you sow”

So, as week go into a new week,
let us only store up a Harvest
that is good for the soul. Amen
