PROFITS VS. PROPHETS

BIBLE STUDY LESSON

TITLE: PROFITS VS. PROPHETS
READING: MATTHEW 16:26 | DEUTERONOMY 18:15 | JEREMIAH 1:5 | MALACHI 4:4-5
BONUS: REVELATION 19:120

In this reading we will study the profits of man and the Prophets of God.

Because we are in a harvest season,
we shouldn’t get distracted
by the profits of the harvest
but focus on the Prophecy
that will come out of the harvest.

God’s prophet isn’t the same as man’s profit.
And the word of God, isn’t for the profit of man.

But a prophet of God,
will profit in front of man,
and for man, from God.

MATTHEW 16:26
Shows us the dangers of
profits over the Prophets.

Because they are close in words,
the two are separated by God’s word.

What is a Prophet?
Someone who is selected by God,
visited by God, with a massage from God.

DUETERONOMY 18:15
Shows us that God will raise up
His prophets for His works.

JEREMIAH 1:5
Shows us that the Prophet is known
before they are born.

The mission might come later in life,
but the Prophecy starts before life,
so we can live a prolific life
according to the calling
God has on our life.

There are more than
60 Prophets
noted in the Bible.

MALACHI 4:4-5
Shows us that God has
different prophets,
for different reasons,
in different seasons.

In this passage,
Moses ushered the people in,
but Elijah will come to
usher the people out,
and in between
God will send other Prophets
to ensure and secure
the Prophecy.

At this time…
people weren’t listening,
but for those who were listening
were receiving divine favor.

Jesus is the True Prophet
because the full Prophecy
that comes from Jesus,
will match the different
partial Prophecies of man.

At the end of the day…
it’s not about how much
we profit from God,
but how many
we Prophet to.

In the book of Mark,
the Prophet Daniel is mentioned,
just like in the book of Mathew
the Prophet John is mentioned;
showing us that we might not
always get our own book.

Sometimes your prophecy
must come through
someone else’s book.

But if we follow God,
we will be written in
God’s Book.

REVELATION 19:20
Warns us to beware of false prophets.

False prophets will be
the first devoured.

So, as we go into a new week,
let us not focus on
what we can profit from God;
but preparing ourselves
to Prophet for God.

Procrastination and hesitation
is the rust to our salvation.

The true profit after all
is being a Prophet for God.
Amen #GloryToGod
