OMG VS. OMC

BIBLE STUDY LESSON

TITLE: OMG VS. OMC
READING: JOB 35:12-14 | MATTHEW 11:28-30
BONUS: PROVERBS 8:32-34

In this reading we will study the
Grace, Mercy and Peace of
listening to God.

God is listening.

He hears our cries and
He hears our pride.

Our cries are the OMG,
that’s when we say:
“Oh My God!”

But this should be a cry-out for God,
not a complaint to God.

Our pride is the OMC,
this is when God is saying:
“Oh My Child”

OMG

JOB 35:12-13
Shows us God does not
hear any Empty Talk.

You see,
when we talk to God,
it must have some substance.

Casual Talk = Casual Results
Serious Talk = Serious Results

We can not fill God up with a filler.

We might be full of…
but God is only full of Glory.

Empty Talk = Empty Walk

Any talk without God in it,
is Empty Talk.

Because a cry
is just a cry,
until you holler.

JOB 35: 14
Shows us to wait on the Lord.

So, before we start to cry,
or ask God why?

How about we wait
on future instructions.

“I don’t believe
He brough me this far,
to leave me”

Don’t give up,
keep a hold until
you have been restored.

Job was 140 when he died,
he was only 40,
with 100 more to go.

OMC
Let’s go to the Gospel…

GRACE
MATTHEW 11:28
The Lord tells us to come to him.

MERCY
MATTHEW 11:29
The mercy is found in the grace
to learn from our mistakes.

This is so He doesn’t
have to say OMC.

PEACE
MATTHEW 11:30
Peace is easy to obtain from God
because it is easy to come to God.

Making it easy
to turn God’s OMC,
from a negative
to a positive look.

Because what makes
God OMC us
is the fact that
it is already written.

BONUS:
We must go to the Proverbs…

PROVERBS 8:32
Shows us that we must
Listen and Pay Attention
To God.

PROVERBS 8:33
Tells us that God is listening,
but He waiting to see if
we can take His next instructions,
and keep them pure.

PROVERBS 8:34
This turns our OMG
from a negative into a positive
for God not against God.

So, as we go into a new week
let us turn our OMG into TYG
from “Oh My God” to
“Thank You God!”
Amen
