RENEWED | RESTORED | REFRESHED

BIBLE STUDY LESSON

TITLE: RENEWED | RESTORED | REFRESHED
READING: PSALM 23:3 | 2 CORINTHIANS 5:16-18
BONUS: ROMANS 12:2

Happy New Year!

In this reading, we will study the power of
being Renewed, Restored + Refreshed.

Before this can take place,
we must ask ourselves (2) questions:

1. Do you believe in God?
(Most would say: Yes)

2. Do you belong to God?
(This is the Test)

It is one thing to believe in God,
but it is another level to belong to God.

The Psalm of David,
is a psalm of restoration.

PSALM 23:3
Shows us that
New Year = New Slate.
Because God is the One
that will clear the slate.

If we believe in God,
and if we belong to God,
there are (3) things
that must take place
in (3) different areas
of our lives.

We must be Renewed,
Restored and Refreshed
in our Mind, Body + Soul.

All (3) things must take place
in each area of our lives.

2 CORINTHIANS 5:1
Shows us that if God destroys it,
God will restore it.
This goes for the world
and our souls.

RENEWED
2 CORINTHIANS 5:16
When we worship in the flesh, it is a mess.
But when we worship in the spirit,
then we are lifted.

* We must renew our mind,
so it is fixed on Jesus.
* We must renew our body,
so God can heal us.
* We must renew of spirit,
so God can use us.

God has an upgrade for us,
but He is waiting for us to be renewed,
so He can give us the new.

RESTORED
2 CORINTHIANS 5:17
When God renews us,
He restores our power,
protection and peace.

Throw away the old version,
because it won’t work,
when you are restored.

REFRESHED
2 CORINTHIANS 5:18
Reconciliation brings a refresh-ness.
Forgiveness is a part of your restoration.

Last year is over,
so last year’s problems
are now over.

The more we forgive,
the more we live for Christ.
This is a spiritual renewal.

CTR + ALT + DEL
When God takes control,
He will alter our lives
for good,
and He will delete
the bad out of our lives.

There are (3) things
that we must forgive:
1. We must forgive ourselves.
(We have been attacking ourselves.)
2. We must forgive others.
(The attacks that came through them,
wasn’t from them, it was the enemy.)
3. We must forgive God
(God is always there,
but sometimes we forget.)

Even when we have been
renewed and restored
by the Lord,
it will not take effect
until we refresh.

+ BONUS:
ROMANS 12:2
This is a renewal scripture.

When you feel in need of renewal,
go to this scripture.

So, as we go into a new year,
let us focus on being renewed,
instead of focusing on
buying or getting something new.

Let us focus on be restored
and running out to the store.

Let us focus on being blessed
by being Refreshed,
instead of being consumed
by the flesh.

This year will be our best,
because we will go into it
Renewed, Restored,
and Refreshed. Amen
